REUNERT INCREASES NORMALISED HEPS BY 15%

Electrical engineering and electronics company, Reunert increased normalised headline earnings per share by 15% to 570,3 cents for the year to 30 September 2007. Revenue grew by 16% to R9,6 billion, but operating profit showed a modest increase of 4% to R1,3 billion. The contribution from associates rose by 56% to R148 million.
Nashua Mobile beefs mailboxes up to 4Gb

Nashua Mobile Internet, a division of Nashua Mobile, has increased the storage space allocated to its free and paid-for POP mailboxes from 200Mb to 4Gb, meaning that the company´s e-mail users now benefit from the most generous mailbox limit offered by a South African ISP.

Reunert is finalising its 2007 results. Basic EPS will be between 25% - 35% lower and heps will be down between 40% - 50% due to accounting for the BEE deal completed this year. Normalised HEPS will be up between 10% and 20%.

Nashua Mobile, the independent telecom service provider in the Reunert Group, has launched a new division called Nashua Insure to offer its customers a range of short-term insurance products underwritten by Auto & General.

The shortages of skills in maths, science and technology in SA are well documented. This unfortunate state could hinder the government´s drive to grow the economy at the rate of 6% annually. The Reunert College is doing its bit in addressing this.
Reunert increases revenue by 19% and operating profit by 16%

Electrical engineering and electronics group, Reunert, grew revenue by 19% to R4,6 billion in the first six months to 31 March 2007 compared to the same period in 2006. Operating profit increased by 16% from R524 million to R608 million. Net profit attributable to Reunert shareholders, increased from R412 million to R517 million before accounting for share based payment charges relating to the BEE deal and the issue of shares to employees. An interim dividend of 73 cents per share, up 16 % from last year’s 63 cents per share, has been declared.

Reunert shareholders today passed all the ordinary and special resolutions proposed in terms of the notice of annual general meeting dated 6 December 2006. The special resolutions will be submitted to the Registrar of Companies for registration.
Reunert and Altron merge telecoms cable businesses

The telecommunications cable manufacturing businesses and assets of Reunert and Altron will merge on 1 February 2007 following the approval of the proposed merger by the Competition Tribunal.
